Ethical, Fair-trade PRODUCTION
All our clothing and bedding are ethically produced in Portugal and Spain using the highest European production standards.
Our partners share the same ethical and moral values as we do and have been hand-picked by us to do so. All our partners are GOTS and OEKO-TEX 100, class 1 certified.
Biodegradable, SIGNATURE FABRIC
Our signature fabric's main component is TENCEL™ (lyocell) of which a part is infused with pharma-graded Zinc oxide. Read more about our fabric’s special properties here.
TENCEL™ is the brand name of the lyocell fiber and is made from wood pulp of Eucalyptus trees. It is produced without the use of aggressive chemicals, in a closed-loop process that does not release waste. Compared to cotton, lyocell uses less than half as much water in production.
Only renewable raw materials are used in the creation of lyocell making it fully biodegradable and eco-friendly. The European Union awarded the lyocell production procedure with the 2000 European Environmental Award in the category “technology for sustainable development”.
The Zinc we use is a special high-graded recycled zinc that is melted and oxidized resulting in a white powder of pure Zinc oxide. This pure Zinc oxide powder is incorporated into the lyocell fibers using a special patented process.
Biodegradable & Recycled Packaging
We strive to reduce waste in our supply chain as much as possible and all of the packaging we use is either made of biodegradable or recycled materials.
Our clothing is delivered to us in biodegradable envelope mailers. These same mailers are used to send out orders to our customers thereby reducing unnecessary waste.
Our bed linen is delivered to us in recycled plastic polybags. We distribute our bed linen to our customers in recycled plastic mailers that contain a double strip and can also be used to return the items in.
Slow, DURABLE fashion
Children literally grow up so fast. In the first years of their lives, they grow out of their clothing sizes multiple times per year. Our garments are designed to be durable and to last.
We strongly promote the use of our garments by multiple children. If a garment is too small for your child, please pass it on to a sibling, family member, or friend that does fit the size.
We are currently working on a process to easily re-distribute already used-and-loved SOOTHLA garments to other children.

Our bedding is skin-friendly, hypoallergenic, and is made of a soft, breathing fabric.
The bedsheets and pillowcases are designed to improve sleep quality and are allergy-friendly, antibacterial, and dust mite proof.
The bedsheets feature a waterproof barrier that protects the mattress and makes a molton sheet unnecesary.
